A Zip Thru the Smokies and Over the Big Pigeon River
Enjoy a soaring and gliding experience naturally fueled by a gradual elevation change in the Smoky Mountains of TN. Pigeon River Canopy Tours opened in May, 2010 and is the only zipline/canopy tour that crosses over the Pigeon River. This new attraction in the Asheville, Knoxville, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg area includes zips that fly you beside, above and across the Pigeon River and back to your starting point at heights up to 120 feet above the river. Numerous stair climbs are required and can be strenuous. Tours run rain or shine. Combine this with a Pigeon River rafting trip and/or Jeep® tour for a full day of activities.

Waterfall Gorge Canopy Tour
This canopy tour takes visitors deep into the Smoky Mountain Creek Gorge exposing a lush forest of ferns, wildflowers, towering trees, rock cliffs,cascading waterfalls, and moss covered boulder gardens. Allow 3 1/2 hours, smaller groups might complete the course faster. The Waterfall Gorge Canopy Tour includes:
* 12 zipline sections between elevated platforms & treetop decks
* 4 sky bridges
* The “Cliff Hanger” platform perched on a 100’ rock cliff
* Scenic Smoky Mountain Creek cascades
* 2 Pigeon River crossings including the Highline,a 1200' long & 120' high final zip
* Over 15 scenic and historic acres of flying area launching from the Wildwater Pigeon Adventure Center.

River Ziplines Tour
This zipline experience gives you a great introductory sampling of adventure ziplining without the commitment of the full course. Allow 2 1/2 hours,
smaller groups might complete the course faster.The River Ziplines Tour includes:
* 7 zip line sections through the trees from elevated platforms
* 2 Pigeon River crossings including the Highline, a 1200' long & 120' high final zip
* 3 tree top “sky bridges” viewing the Smoky Mountains from new heights
* Over 9 scenic and historic acres of flying area all within the setting of Wildwater Pigeon.

All flyers will need to arrive wearing tee shirts, longer shorts or pants and closed toed shoes (required) . Tours run rain or shine so please dress appropriately for the weather. Harness seats will wrap around your upper thigh, shoulders, and waist so collared shirts and pants will be more comfortable. You will be wearing a helmet, so ball caps are not recommended. Long hair must be tied back and secured. Please leave your cell phones in the car.
Each participant is provided with state of the art equipment including helmets, full body harnesses, trolley, gloves and tether lines. 2 canopy rangers per group.All Canopy Tour Rangers are trained by an accredited ACCT Vendor and all courses are built and inspected to ACCT standards to provide the utmost in safety and fun!
All flyers must be in reasonably good physical condition. Multiple stair climbs are required for both tours. Please do not participate if you are pregnant. Chronic back or shoulder injuries should consult a physician. No hard or soft casts. Flyers must be able to raise their arms over head to self regulate speed and braking. Canopy Rangers will provide instructions for safety & back-up systems.
Age/Weight range: 10 years and 70 lbs to 250 lbs. Weight variations effect momentum when zipping.
