The Nantahala Rafting Center, Falling Waters Resort & Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours is located on Hwy. 74 West, 12 miles Southwest of Bryson City, North Carolina. We recommend Hwy. 74/23 versus Hwy. 19 for time and better roads. Please check your map to confirm driving routes.

From Murphy, NC: Follow Hwy 74 East past the Nantahala River. The Wildwater Ltd. Nantahala Rafting Center is on Hwy 74, five minutes past the take-out, 1.7 miles on your right. Falling Waters Resort & Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours are on the left across the street from our Nantahala Rafting Center.
From Bryson City, NC: Take the Great Smoky Mountain Expressway (74 West). About 12 miles past Bryson City, Hwy 74 narrows from four lanes to two lanes. Go straight, staying on Hwy 74 West. Wildwater's Nantahala Rafting Center is 1.8 miles past the 74/28 fork on the left. Falling Waters Resort & Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours are on the right across the street from our Nantahala Rafting Center.
From Franklin, NC: (1 hour mountain driving) Take 28 North to US 74, turn left onto US 74. In about 5 miles the four-lane narrows to two lanes. Go straight, staying on Hwy 74 West. Wildwater's Nantahala Rafting Center is 1.8 miles past the 74/28 fork on the left.
or: (straighter roads, but more miles) Take 441 North to Dillsboro, pick up US 74 West toward Bryson City. Stay on 74. About 12 miles past Bryson City, Hwy 74 narrows from four lanes to two lanes. Go straight, staying on Hwy 74 West. Wildwater's Nantahala Rafting Center is 1.8 miles past the 74/28 fork on the left. Falling Waters Resort & Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours are on the right across the street from our Nantahala Rafting Center.
From Atlanta, GA: 3.5 hours
Take I-85 North to I-985 North (in Gainesville) to I-365 North (in Cornelia) to 441 North past Franklin, NC to Dillsboro. In Dillsboro take Hwy 74 towards Bryson City. About 12 miles past Bryson City, Hwy 74 narrows from four lanes to two lanes. Go straight, staying on Hwy 74 West. Wildwater's Nantahala Rafting Center is 1.8 miles past the 74/28 fork on the left.

Directions to Great Smoky Mountain Railroad Train Depot from Hwy. 74/19:
Take Exit 67 from Highway 74, to Bryson City. Look for Great Smoky Mountain Railroad signs. Travel straight through two traffic signals, cross the Tuckaseege River. Turn right immediately after river onto Mitchell St. at the Ford dealership. Parking is on the left, parking attendants will direct you.
