Cottage Information
Welcome to Wildwater's Cottages!
A stay in one of our cottages is a comfortable and relaxing addition to your river vacation. They are most convenient - only a short walk away from where the river trips depart.
Location: They're easy to find. The road to the cottages is the first driveway on the left past our parking lot. The road is clearly marked with a sign that says "CABINS", so just watch for the sign.
Cottage Check-in: If you're staying in the cottages the night before your river trip, come to the main office (red building at end of main parking lot). In the mailbox on the porch you will find an envelope marked with your name and a cottage key. You don't have to check-in for your river trip until the morning of the trip, but please do so at least 15 minutes prior to the trip departure time. Due to scheduling constraints imposed on us, we cannot wait for late arrivals.
*Pets & smoking are NOT permitted. A special cleaning fee of $100 will be imposed if we find that there was smoking or that a pet has been in the cottage.
We ask that if you are not staying in the cottages the night after your river trip, please check-out before your trip. THANKS!

Each Cottage includes:
- 540 sq. ft. in each apartment
- Full kitchen with microwave, dishes, and utensils
- Tiled living room floors- dinette
- Cathedral ceiling in living area

- View of pond through two double glass doors
- Loft with skylight and two single beds
- Hide-a-bed for two
- Ceiling fans, baseboard heat
- Air conditioned

Directions
Wildwater's Cottages are on the grounds of the Old Long Creek Academy, one mile north of US 76 in the community of Long Creek, South Carolina. Please check your map to confirm driving routes.
From Clayton, GA - Follow US 76 east 8 miles to the Chattooga River Bridge. Continue for 2.7 miles then turn left at the Wildwater sign on Raines Road. (STC 339) After traveling 1.6 miles turn left on Academy Road. Cabin driveway is 100 feet on left.
From Westminster, SC - Follow US 76 West 14.8 miles to the first paved right on Academy Road in the community of Long Creek, SC. The cottages are 1.2 miles on the left.
From Walhalla, SC - Follow US 28 North past the Stumphouse Mountain Ranger Station to the paved left at Mountain Top Trading Post (Whetstone Road). From that turn, go .7 miles and take the first paved left at the Long Creek sign, Cassidy Bridge Road. Continue 7.3 miles to the end of the road. Then left at the fork on Academy Road and proceed .2 miles to the Wildwater Cabin drive on the right.
From Highlands & Cashiers, NC - From the intersection of US 107 and US 28, go 1.9 miles south on US 28 to the paved right at Mountain Top Trading Post (Whetstone Road). From that turn, go .7 miles and take first paved left at the Long Creek sign, Cassidy Bridge Road. Continue 7.3 miles to the end of the road. Then left at the fork and proceed .2 miles to Wildwater Cabin drive on the right.
