Nantahala Gorge Groups

For groups planning on rafting the Nantahala River, Falling Waters Adventure Resort (866) 319-8870 offers relaxed lodging and recreation options for groups and families. Falling Waters is a 22-acre wilderness paradise featuring wooded trails to a 50ft waterfall, through mountain laurel, rhododendron forest, and views of Lake Fontana. The Group Lodge, which has a capacity of 44 people housed in bunk bed style accommodations with a bathroom in each of the 6 bunkrooms, is the perfect place for groups to lodge. In addition to the bunkrooms there is a dining room and kitchen available for groups who would like to prepare their own food, or just need an indoor space large enough to seat them all. Wildwater can also provide or arrange a selection of catered meals for your group.

The Yurt’s at Falling Waters offer a unique “glamping” (glamorous camping) experience for your group. Yurts are Mongolian inspired platform tents that include all of the luxuries of home. All Yurts include a Queen bed and queen futon plus full linens, refrigerators, private bathrooms, coffee makers, large decks overlooking the pond, cliffs or tucked amongst the pines, ceiling fans, adjustable skylights, stereo CD players and use of a hot tub. Falling Waters has eight Yurts that sleep up to 4 people each.

Wildwater's Nantahala Rafting Center is located across the road from the resort, providing your group with easy access to white water rafting, raft and inflatable kayak rentals, Jeep® Tours and Raft & Rail© trips. Right on the Falling Waters property is the New Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours, a soaring and gliding experience naturally fueled by a gradual elevation change. Wildwater can also help you plan other area activities including: horse back riding, jet boat tours, mountain biking, gem mining and hiking on the pristine rivers and trails of the area. All are locally available.
