Chattooga River

Heavy Rains Make for Good Fall Rafting

It’s raining, it’s pouring and the Chattooga's got water…..

With all of the rain that we’ve experienced in the past few days, the Chattooga has swollen to higher levels. That means great fall rafting! The water level spiked to 8 ft. on Sunday, September 20th (average flows for this time of year is about 1.5 ft.) The river won’t stay at flood level for long (in fact it’s already on its way down) but it does mean that we should have good rafting all fall. We operate trips until November 8th this year, so come on out and enjoy the fall foliage and experience rafting the Chattooga at a great water level!

Wildwater hopes that you will take advantage of above normal water levels and our 20% Fall Discount and join us on a Chattooga trip.

Give a call to our reservations office at 800-451-9972 to book your trip. We also offer lodging at our Chattooga Cottages for a weekend getaway.
