Wildwater's Cottages & Group Yurts are housed on the grounds of the Old Long Creek Academy at the Chattooga Ridge Activity Center, two miles north of US 76 and the community of Long Creek, South Carolina. Please check your map to confirm driving routes. Allow extra time for driving in the mountains.
From Clayton, GA: Follow US 76 east 8 miles to the Chattooga River Bridge. Continue on US 76 for 2.7 miles then turn left at the Wildwater Ltd. sign on Raines Road (STC 339). The Wildwater Chattooga Ridge Activity Center is 1.6 miles on the left. Take a left at the rafting center and continue just past the parking lot to the first driveway on the left to the cottages & group yurts.
From Westminster, SC: Follow US 76 West 14.8 miles to Academy Road, the first paved right in the community of Long Creek. The Wildwater Chattooga Ridge Activity Center is 1.2 miles on the left. Continue just past the parking lot to the first driveway on the left to the cottages & group yurts.
From Walhalla, SC: Follow US 28 North past the Stumphouse Mountain Ranger Station to the paved left at Mountain Top Trading Post (Whetstone Road). From the left turn on Whetstone Rd. go .7 miles and take the first paved left at the Long Creek sign, Cassidy Bridge Road. Continue 7.3 miles to the 3-way stop. Turn left at the fork and proceed .1 mile to the Wildwater Cottage & Group Yurt driveway on the right.
From Highlands & Cashiers, NC: 1 hour. Follow US 107 or US 28 South to the intersection of US 107 and US 28. Continue 1.9 miles south on US 28/107 to the paved right at Mountain Top Trading Post (Whetstone Road). From the turn, go .7 miles and take first paved left at the Long Creek sign, Cassidy Bridge Road. Continue 7.3 miles to the 3-way stop. Turn left at the fork and proceed .1 mile to the Wildwater Cottage & Group Yurt driveway on the right.
From Atlanta, GA: 2.5 hours (add .5 hour from airport) Take I-85 North to exit #1, the Scenic Hwy 11 Exit and turn left, travel 14 miles to Hwy 24. Turn left off of Hwy 11 and back right onto Hwy 24 traveling to Westminster. In Westminster, at the light turn left on Hwy 76 West. After you pass through Westminster, take a right at the traffic light staying on Hwy. 76W towards Long Creek. Travel for 13 miles past Westminster into Long Creek. Just past the Long Creek sign take your first right on Academy Road. Go 1.5 miles on Academy Rd. and the Cottage & Group Yurt Driveway is on the left just past the main Wildwater Chattooga Ridge Activity Center parking lot entrance.
From Greenville, SC: 2 hours. Take 1-85 South to the Easley Hwy. 153 exit, follow Hwy. 153 to Hwy. 123 towards Easley & Clemson. In Clemson Hwy 76 West joins Hwy 123 going through Seneca and Westminster. After you pass through Westminster, take a right at the traffic light staying on Hwy. 76W towards Long Creek. Stay on Hwy 76 West for 13 miles past Westminster, into Long Creek, SC. Take first right on Academy Road. Travel 1.5 miles on Academy Rd., the Wildwater Cottage & Group Yurt Driveway is on the left just past the main Wildwater Chattooga Ridge Activity Center parking lot entrance.
